The Crown Project hosts different events throughout the year within Montreal, QC. The organization provides assistance and empowers underprivileged millennials and Gen Z, through their initiatives that help build their confidence, go after their dreams in hopes of breaking generational cycles.


Meet Loreena
Founder of the Crown Project
Born and raised in Montreal, Loreena has always been passionate about helping others. With a degree in Anthropology and Sociology and a Diploma in Public Relations from Concordia University, she launched her first winter clothing drive in 2014. Since then, she has supported multiple Montreal organizations and aided hurricane victims in Barbuda.
Through The Crown Project, she founded Prom Queen, a contest granting a Montreal graduate a dream prom makeover. She also hosts #CareerTalk on Instagram, highlighting diverse career paths for women. Recognized as one of CBC Québec’s Black Changemakers in 2022, Loreena is committed to empowering her community and inspiring future generations.

Prom Contest
Our Prom Queen Contest is back for its 6th year, and we’re excited to introduce a Prom King! For the first time, one lucky boy and one lucky girl graduating from high school in Montreal, QC, will have the chance to win an unforgettable prom grand prize. Want to enter? Simply fill out our contest form below before April 18, 2025. Our goal is to help ease the cost of prom and give two deserving students the chance to achieve their dream prom look—while enjoying a day fit for a King and Queen!
